1. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, phone number (optional), and password (hashed).

Search preferences: job search keywords, locations, salary preferences, and blocklists you configure.

Resume data: if you upload a resume, we extract and store the text content for AI features. The original file is stored securely on our servers.

Veteran profile: MOS code and clearance level, if voluntarily provided.

Usage data: login timestamps, feature usage, and AI usage counts.

Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID — never your card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) deliver job search results and alerts; (b) power AI job scoring and resume features; (c) process payments; (d) send account-related emails; (e) improve the Service.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

SerpAPI / Google Jobs: to search for job listings. Your search keywords and location are sent to this service. No personal information is shared.

Anthropic (Claude AI): to power AI features. Your resume text and job descriptions may be sent for processing. Anthropic does not use API data for training.

Stripe: for payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

SMTP2GO: for email and SMS delivery.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for the duration of your account. Job listings are retained indefinitely for your history. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), hashed passwords, and secure server infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services.

6. Your Rights

You may: (a) access and update your personal information via Settings; (b) export your job data via CSV; (c) delete your account by contacting support; (d) opt out of non-essential emails via Settings.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
